Today is the last day of the year and you already know what that means:
New year, new me!
What does that even mean?
We have had this same opportunity all year long.
Each and every day that we opened our eyes, it was a new beginning.
None of us have to wait until December 31st to begin declaring the changes that we want to make in our lives.
Change that perception:
New day, new me!
That’s 365 chances vs that 1 chance on New Year’s.
Doesn’t that sound like less pressure?
Doesn’t that sound more reasonable?
Think about it …
You probably knew since October that you wanted to lose weight. Why couldn’t you have started then? By now you would be like almost three months in and a few pounds down.
You also probably knew a long time ago that you wanted to start saving some money. On January 1st will your financial situation allow that?
Or could you have started putting these things into place months ago? Like before these holidays came through and snatched all your money.
In the new year, you want to be more clean? You could have cleaned that shit up months ago.
My point is, we don’t have to ride the wave with everyone else.
Actually, I think it’s a little detrimental to our own success.
How many years before have we made a resolution that fell through by week 2?
That shit be the worst.
There is no right time; you can begin to work on the life that you want for yourself today.
Take that added pressure off of yourself because it is ok if you fail.
Just get up and keep trying.
I don’t care if you have missed 30 weeks in the gym; get your self back up and get back at it right now.
I promise, you will feel so much better.
